Finally! We're Here!

Greetings from Illinois! We are finally here and in the apartment! Yay! Our internet is being hooked up this afternoon (right now I'm at a Starbucks) so once we get our wireless, I will upload the pictures of the apartment from my camera and post them for everyone to see. The trip up went as great as a 15 hour drive can :) Lilly was so great and I was so proud of her. It probably had to do with the sedative I gave her....buuut hey still proud. I gave her a whole pill, and she probably could have gotten half. She slept with her head up for a whole hour. She is SO happy to be with James again, on Saturday every time he talked her little tail would go crazy. James was worried she wouldn't remember him but she does.

The high yesterday was 45 degrees. Yes, the high. We had to go out and buy Lilly a coat because she kept shaking everytime we walked outside.

How stinking cute is she with the little hood? She loves her jacket. And going for walks around our new neighborhood and checking everything out. I LOVE our little apartment. Right now it has an air mattress and a TV leaned against the wall on a rubbermaid tub, but that's ok with us. :) I've already been to the Commissary twice, I love me a tax free cheap grocery store. Everyone on base is so nice too, except the guard who checked her ID's yesterday saw our ECU magnets on the door and asked what that meant. James goes "IT MEANS THE PIRATES" oh James, they don't get that up here. *Sigh*

James Howard is on base a lot studying during the week and he is still doing really well with all of his grades, still holding a 95 average for his tests. I'm so proud of him! He is so happy and loves his job so nothing makes me happier. Except heat.

I hope everyone is doing well, thank you so much for your texts, emails, and calls to check on me as I made my way up here. It is nice to be home! I will upload pictures of the apartment this week and give you an update on the happenings in Highwood!
